Charles Goldhaber is an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida (starting Spring 2025) and a Visiting Scholar at the Princeton Project for Philosophy and Religion. He specializes in the history of early modern philosophy, epistemology, and Kant. His research addresses key questions about the nature and proper treatment of skepticism, such as how we can engage with skeptics, what might lead them to change their minds, and under what conditions skepticism can be beneficial or harmful. His approach combines contemporary philosophical inquiry with historical insights from figures like Hume and Kant. At 3PR, he is writing on religious themes in the thought of early modern women philosophers, such as Mary Astell and Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley (summa cum laude).
