Evelina Edfors is a PhD student in Philosophy of Religion at the Department of Theology at Uppsala University in Sweden. Her PhD project aims to analyze the epistemic consequences of religious disagreement, focusing on whether disagreement undermines the potential for trustworthy religious authority. By examining concepts such as trust, authority, and religious diversity, the project seeks to answer the question: Can there be any trustworthy religious authority, given the apparent persistence of disagreement among authority figures? If so, how can trustworthy religious authority be identified?
Aside from philosophy of religion, her research interests include epistemology, metaphilosophy, and philosophy of language. Before taking on a PhD project, she completed two MA’s, one in Religious Studies from Uppsala University and one in Theoretical Philosophy from Stockholm University.
